Dr. Oz Goes Grocery Shopping and it Backfires Big Time
Peter Rapine Published 08/16/2022
Crudité is the word of the day. Dr. Oz, whose real name is Mehmet Cengiz Öz, is currently running as the Republican candidate for the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Pennsylvania and is facing off against John Fetterman.
And, in an attempt to connect with his supporters online Dr.Oz posted a video of himself shopping for ingredients to make a crudité.
What is a crudité you might be asking, well, according to Wikipedia, because we didn't know either, a crudité is a" French appetizer consisting of sliced or whole raw vegetables which are typically dipped in a vinaigrette or other dipping sauce."
Dr. Oz begins the video by botching the name of the grocery store he's inside of, calling the Wegmans, Wegners. He then picks up a few items, such as asparagus, carrots, guacamole, and salsa, before complaining that his bill is already $20. Needless to say, Dr. Oz's attempt as coming across as a normal person did not go how he had hoped.
