In this funny clip from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Donnell Rawlings talks about getting shot while hanging out with some people "on the streets" as he puts it. Gunfire broke out and he immediately shielded his dog / emotional support animal and took cover. He ended up getting struck in the thumb by a bullet but didn't suffer any permanent damage that required surgery or the like.
The two have a funny exchange and Donnell felt that Joe didn't believe him but Joe says he was caught off guard by the way Donnell described the incident in such a matter of fact and succinct way. He explains to Joe that he doesn't want to get into specifics and his impersonation of a white person telling the story is both spot on, and hilarious.
