A dog in a separate party had apparently wandered off a higher traverse into avalanche terrain. The guys in the video had all but given up hope.
One of the skiers somehow catches the dog's nose poking up from out of the snow.
Miraculously the dog survived, and can even be seen walking fairly spritely in the video.
