Cop Tries to Hop in Back of a Convertible, Falls Right Out
He didn’t think that one through.
We’re on record as saying “don’t run from the cops.” Not only will you not get away, but in their attempts to catch you, the cops may accidentally do some stupid shit like run you over—if you don’t end up hurting yourself first, of course.
Here’s a prime example of when attempting to run away goes wrong. According to the Beaumont Enterprise, around 1:40 am, police in Beaumont, Texas responded to reports of a disturbance in a local parking lot.
While attempting to detain a person involved, the suspect fled in a vehicle—at which point the officer decided that the best course of action was to try to jump in the back seat. He, of course, promptly fell out of the car and hurt himself.
But don’t worry; the woman didn’t get away with it. The 28-year-old woman was later apprehended and booked on charges of intoxication assault and evading detention, both resulting in serious bodily injury to an officer—though, let’s be honest, the injury was at least a little his fault
