Cop Takes Dude’s Firework, Makes Situation Worse, Then Just Starts Shooting It Into the Air Himself

In fairness, I don’t know what I’d do in this situation, either.

Now that New Year’s Eve is behind us, the stories about “people getting injured while holding fireworks” are slowing to a trickle.

Still, there are some videos of similar events making the rounds. For example, here, police caught a dude holding a firework and sending explosions into the sky. From there, they apprehended the man and got hold of the firework—at which point they immediately began (accidentally) firing the device into the crowd.

Soon after, the cop just said “screw it” and began holding onto the thing himself. Yeah, that makes sense.
