Cop Stops Driver Because He’s ‘On His Phone,’ But He Was Actually Eating a Sandwich

The rules around when a cop will stop you should be clear, but they’re really not. For example, if you’ve ever driven on the freeway, you know that the speed limit is seen as more of a minimum than an upper limit. But if that’s the case, at what point will a cop pull you over? “Eight you’re fine, nine you’re mine” isn’t actually legal advice, right?

In some cases, a cop pulling someone over is a little more clear-cut — or so you might think. For example, this cop pulled a kid over for using his phone while driving. The problem is, he wasn’t using his phone; he was eating a sandwich.

I know, hard to tell the difference between the two.
