Colombia’s President Says Cocaine is Just as Bad as Whiskey, and We’re Racist for Banning It

Okay, let’s hear him out.
For many, the name of the country “Colombia” is synonymous with that white powdery drug that makes your annoying friend even more annoying. Cocaine is interwoven with the country’s history to the point that it’s one of few countries where you can legally carry up to one gram of cocaine for personal consumption.
Why isn’t that the case everywhere? Well, according to Colombian President Gustavo Petro, it’s because the drug is made in Latin America and we’re just being racist. After all, in his eyes, it’s no worse than a little bit of Jack Daniels.
