China’s So Hot Its Cars Are Inflating
Much like other Southeast Asian countries, China is currently experiencing a major heat wave. While over in Japan such heat resulted in people getting hired to rub ice on train tracks, in China, the consequences were much stranger: pregnant cars.
It’s unclear why this is happening, but some speculate that it has something to do with cheap car wraps. Some of the cars featured here are manufactured outside of China and have been driven in countries with high temperatures. Drivers in these locations say they haven’t had similar issues, so it’s likely something added after the fact by Chinese drivers.
No matter why it’s happening, it looks weird as hell — and I want to just take a needle and pop ‘em.
