This footage is from the 2017 Iowa state fair 'Husband Call,' where wives compete to see who's the best at screaming their husband's name. Yes, this is a real thing, and it is the stuff of nightmares for husbands everywhere.
The winner of this contest, then 88 year old Bonnie Swalwell Eilert, has apparently won multiple husband calling contests, and viral footage of her skills led to her appearance on the NBC talent show "Little Big Shots: Forever Young." She would also regularly compete with her late husband Roy in other types of calling competitions. He passed away in 2015.
A comment with 24 thousand likes asks, "What is the criteria?" One of the judges, Myrna Nelson, says that she basis her choices off of "The first impression, the last impression, and the presentation," which doesn't exactly answer the question. Nothing makes the hair on a husband's neck stand up quite like the call of his angry wife, so the fear factor should definitely be considered.
