Bears Are Breaking Into Cars and Stealing Bags

If you thought your parked car was safe outside of San Francisco, think again.

Previously, we’ve seen mama bears teach their cubs just how valuable it can be to steal from cars. What we didn’t know at the time was that it wasn’t a one-off phenomenon. In fact, there was recently a case in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in which a bear managed to get a car door open and remove a bag of what appears to be garbage — a discovery that led me down a rabbit hole of videos of bears breaking into cars.

So if you’re in bear country, lock your doors, and take whatever bags you have with you!
