Beach Goers Compete in a Game of “Last one Sitting” During Rising Tide
When you go to the beach, do you prefer to lounge around, or go in the water? It's a choice that plagues every beach trip, but what if you could do both, and turn it into a game?
That's what these beach-goers decided to do, by setting up their chairs on the edge of the water line during a rising tide. Pelted by wave after wave, the rules are simple; be the last one sitting.
"I have to be honest, I've never understood why we all don't sit at the water," Early Lauren commented.
It turns out that beach-sitting is relatively popular, and one viewer commented that their family holds an annual competition 400 people strong. Sunset Beach in North Carolina even holds an annual "Sit-A-Thon" to raise money for different charities, most recently Turtle Watch.
Unfortunately, the cameras were cut before the final wave took out these three participants in unison. Looks like the ocean wins this time.
As Amberly commented, "Triple points for the wipeout!"
