Barcelona Residents Hate Tourists So Much They’ve Started Harassing Them Water Guns

If you’re a tourist in Barcelona, the locals are here to tell you that you really shouldn’t be. Recently, Barcelona has been hit with a wave of protests against the city’s tourist industry, with protestors complaining about how “visitors increase prices and put pressure on public services, while profits from the tourism industry are unfairly distributed and increase social inequality,” per CNN.

Some of these protests have taken the form of marching through the streets with signs. Others have, as you can see in this video, opted to take matters into their own hands by spraying tourists with water everywhere they go. You won’t get treated like this in Madrid!
