This is the most Australian story I’ve seen in a long time.

Living in Australia means dealing with hazards that no human being should have to experience. Spiders that can kill you, jellyfish that make it feel like your skin is melting off — most people would experience a few years of this and tap out, but Australia’s been going for over a century. I guess they’re just built different!

One thing that allows Australians to be like this, I suspect, is their drinking ability. The Aussies are really, really good (if such a word can be used in this context) at hitting the bottle whenever and wherever it pleases them. For example, these teens were in the background of a news report when they thought, “Hey, why not take this moment to crush a few VBs?”
