Animal Eats Watermelon With Its Tongue, and It’s Really Weird

This thing is giving me the heebie-jeebies.

Other mammals have much more dexterous tongues than us humans. For the most part, that makes sense — these animals use their tongues for drinking water and slurping up food, while all we do with ours is taste things and stick them out at people who cut us off in traffic.

Below is one of the animals that really gives a shit about their tongue. This is an “okapi,” sometimes referred to as a “zebra giraffe.” These animals not only eat things with their tongues, but they can get pretty weird about it, too. Don’t believe me?
