6.3 Earthquake Rattles Colombia, Leaving One Dead
Carly Tennes Published 9 hours ago
A 6.3 earthquake and a similarly strong aftershock sent Colombia’s capital of Bogotá and several other cities shaking on Thursday, destroying buildings, ripping through brick walls, and sending chandeliers swinging.
“Everything was moving, and people came out screaming, ‘It’s shaking, it’s shaking,’” Gonzalo Martin told the Associated Press of the earthquake, which left at least one person dead. “A lot of people started to rush out onto the street because of the tremor.”
Though this earthquake may not have been the big one, it was definitely a big one.
