1920s Hero Saves Pilot by Swapping Planes and Replacing Wheel Mid-Air

In this ridiculous 1920s clip, a woman saves the day by replacing a wheel on a plane while it's still in mid-air! She not only does this with no harness, but completes the act by bringing the replacement wheel up in a different plane, and swapping rides mid-flight by jumping wing to wing.
This ludicrous plane stunt was performed by Gladys Ingle, working for a stunt troop known as the 13 Flying Black Cats. This group worked doing stunts for TV, airshows, and anyone that would pay them, and are definitely worth checking out. Needless to say, this stuff would not fly today. Allegedly, Ingle performed over 300 wing swaps without a fall while working for the Black Cats, although since she was a woman she was never officially allowed to be included in the 13. In the end, she retired, had a family, and lived into her 80s! They just don't make'm like the used to do they?
