Windows XP Desktop Background Photo Is No Longer the Same

If you didn't already know, the default desktop background image on Microsoft Windows XP—the one with the idyllic grassy hill and bright blue sky—is a real photograph titled "Bliss." It was taken on the side of the road in the rolling hills north of San Francisco.
You can still go see the hill in person today, but unfortunately it doesn't look quite the same. That's because a vineyard has taken over the land, corrupting the picturesque landscape forever.
You can visit it virtually on Google Earth to have a look for yourself.
The original photo was taken by Charles O'Rear, who would pass by the location while visiting his then girlfriend. Too bad it kinda looks like shit now.
