How 'Toy Story 2' Very Nearly Got Deleted

As someone who has definitely had my share of data losses due to dumb mistakes, I relate to this SO hard.
The 'Toy Story' series is probably Pixar's hallmark franchise, and the first movie revolutionized computer animation as we know it. Its runaway success helped propel Pixar's growth into the giant it is today, but the sequel very nearly didn't happen - not because of budget issues or a lack of popularity, but because the entire film was THIS close to being erased without any backups due to someone's f**kup.
