Florida Woman Tricked Into Visiting Gastonia, North Carolina
But when they arrived in Gastonia, they were a bit disappointed, if not embarrassed, because it looked nothing like the TikTok she had seen.
1.
Zachary Keesee is the man who runs the TikTok account posting trollish videos of places in Europe and tagging them under different cities in North Carolina. Keesee said he's never actually been to Gastonia before, and that most people know his videos are fake, telling 9Gag that you, "can't trust everything you see on the internet."
2.
However, the joke was lost on Olivia Garcia who took his videos as fact and didn't bother to do a quick Google search before hitting the road. Can you imagine being this innocent? We have other words in mind, but innocent sounds the nicest. Poor lady, life must be really hard.

And this is what she got. Good ole Gastonia North Carolina. It's like the first-ever documented travel-tip rickroll. Can you imagine how dumb you would feel if this were you? Speechless.
5.
He really put in the work, too. By building up his page and continuing with the bit of making North Carolina seem all grand and shit, the madlad actually baited someone into falling for it.
7.
The jokes themselves aren't that great, as most people know they're being 'lied' to, but we've never actually heard of someone falling for one of these jokes, let alone post about it after the fact. So kudos to Zachary Keesee, keeping doing the lords work.

And to Olivia, you sweet summer child, thank you for the laugh. But next time, remember that Google is always here to keep us in check.
