Action Comics #1 sold for $3.2 Million at an Ebay auction in 2014.

The comic marked the debut of the Man of Steel, Superman. There are considered to be around 50 of the #1 left in existence. This particular copy, with its “perfect white pages”, was in mint condition.

It would have sold originally for 10 cents.

The most expensive pair of sneakers ever sold were a pair of autographed Air Jordans worn by his Airness in a game.

It took nearly 30 minutes at Southeby’s auction for the hammer to fall at a staggering $560,000 last May.

The previous record? A pair of 1972 Nike Waffle Racing “Flat Moon Shoes” that went for $437,500 in 2019.

In 1933, President Roosevelt banned all US Citizens from owning gold. As a result, all 1933 Double Eagles were never released. However, a few coins managed to escape.

One made its way to King Farouk of Egypt, who sold it back to a U.S. citizen, who himself was forced to split the sale price with the US Government in order to retain ownership. The reason? It was and still is illegal to own the 1933 Double Eagle.
