This is a painting created by the Spanish painter, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, titled, "The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables," a portrait of the Virgin Mary that was painted in 1678. The piece is from the Baroque period and has since been restored to keep it in tact. Well, you wont believe it but, it's been restored more than once, and today, a fix job for the original failed restoration was released.

Here we have the original on the left, the first restoration on the top and the most recent on the bottom right.

We can sympathize with wanting to fix this terrible restoration job, but word has come out that the art collector responsible for getting the job done paid a 'furniture restorer' 1,200 euros to fix it. And well . . .
