Bridge Collapses Morning of Biden's Infrastructure Visit

The Fern Hollow Bridge near Pittsburgh's Frick Park collapsed shortly before 7am, Friday.

Five vehicles were destroyed in the collapse, including an articulated Port Authority bus that was trapped under a large slab of collapsed bridge.

First-responders reportedly rappelled 150 off the bridge to help those trapped in a dangling bus.

Ten people were reportedly injured, with four taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The collapse occurred mere hours before a planned speech by President Biden on the topic of his new infrastructure law.

The collapse subsequently started a gas leak that had residents evacuating the area earlier this morning.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation according to Pittsburgh Fire Bureau Chief, Darryl Jones but had citations for 'poor condition' going all the way back to 2011.
