25 Things People in Other Countries Admire About America

America as a nation has faced some pretty bad press over the last two decades or so. I remember when I was growing up in the Bush Jr. years, a lot of my American friends traveling abroad would actually tell people they were Canadian, since nobody really hates Canada for anything.

Well, I've got some good news! In spite of the bad reputation we've gotten internationally (with at least some of that being well-deserved), people abroad still appreciate the things that really DO make us great! Things like our awesome entertainers and artists, our constant innovation, our hefty portion sizes, and even how downright friendly we tend to be - all of that is the stuff the world actually does admire about us! I mean, I know we love ourselves and self-love is fundamental, but it's still nice to get a compliment.
