This is my favorite kind of petty revenge - no shots fired or lives ruined, just a quiet little "F**k you" that definitely hits its intended target. An old-school nursing instructor who still pined for the days when nurses wore white skirts and heels gave one student endless grief over her choice to wear army-style combat boots as part of her uniform - despite the fact that these shoes fully adhered to all uniform guidelines and were actually vastly more practical than the clogs most nurses wear.

She got away with it most of the year, but the graduation ceremony required wearing all white. The instructor thought she'd finally get the last laugh. She thought wrong.
