If you have ever worked a job, you have probably felt undervalued at some point or another. Whether it's a small family-owned mom-and-pop shop, or an international conglomerate, companies have a talent for not realizing the value their employees bring to the table. The worst and most glaringly obvious example of this is when you ask for a pay raise. They'll find every excuse in the book to deny it and risk losing the employee, rather than cough up a few extra dollars per pay-period.
