Million-Dollar Amusement Park Wants Free Designs, Won't Even Give Winners Park Passes

If you "value" artists by profiting from their work while giving them nothing in return, you're doing it wrong.
This million-dollar amusement park thought setting up a contest for their next mask design was a great idea. The "winner" gets literally nothing - no share of the profits from selling the masks, no commission for their work, not even some passes to the park - which they could easily give out and even make some money back from concession sales during the visit. People were quick to point out this hypocrisy, but the park just ends up doubling down on their justification.

Instead of maybe taking some of these points into consideration, Lagoon just doubled down on their explanations of why not paying artists is a form of "valuing" them.

I went back to see if there were any more developments on the contest, and it appears to have been deleted on both FB and their website.
