A Forgotten Pub Buried Under A Shopping Center

The pub was opened until 1993, when the shopping center was renovated.

The entrance to the pub was walled up and a new one was supposed to be made.

But the owners decided it would be better to close it down. Now the only entrance is a hatch.

The pub is in surprisingly good state.

And has huge murals painted by artist David Parry which have remained untouched.

Inside was a bag of peanuts from 1993... and this glass with 20 year old dirt.

The last time people were down there was 2011 when investors looked at the place and decided to back out.

The Green Man;s fate seems uncertain as even the shopping center owners don't want to do anything with it. If you're ever in Loughborough be sure to check it out, but remember you have to bring your own beer!
