She would have gotten away with it too, if she'd just stuck to boosting her own stats instead of actively screwing over other people as well.

Being a high school senior can be a pretty stressful time between finishing up all your schoolwork, taking/re-taking standardized tests, filling out college applications and essays, keeping your grades up, having great extracurriculars, and just generally dealing with the competitive nature of getting into college. It's definitely an environment that causes some people to use less-than-honest ways of trying to look better. The only caveat is that if you get caught - as this Karen Jr. did - the consequences are potentially life-ruining.
