Not invited to the party? Create your own.
Thanks to the subreddit, Malicious Compliance we bring you another absolute doozy. I believe Tom Clancy said it best, when he stated "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." And that's really the essence of this story.
Our OP begins this harrowing tale in the land where dreams become reality, and nightmares haunt you forever...Las Vegas. A popular destination for debauchery and business alike. The OP's company was at a conference in Vegas, and would be rewarded with an annual party for both customers and employees.
However, last minute their CEO thought it would be a good idea to un-invite all of the engineers. Being appropriately and obviously ticked off, the VP fought tooth and nail with the CEO to reconsider. The CEO stood his ground.
Welp...this isn't called malicious compliance for no reason. Buckle up there baby, because this one gets good in a hurry.
