Company Asks Person to Delete Negative Glassdoor Review After They Rescind a Job Offer
The subreddit r/antiwork is dedicated to anything anti-corporation, boss, job, or just work in general. On Wednesday, one of the subreddit’s most viral posts in some time touched on all of the above, as a user recounted their experience having a job offer rescinded, after signing a contract.
“Job offer rescinded, Left a negative review on Glassdoor, Company is asking me to take it down,” u/albanska wrote. Glassdoor is a website that allows people to leave reviews for companies they have worked for.
Almost 80 thousand upvotes later, and the post has made its way onto Twitter, and other subreddits devoted to giving legal advice.
“They offered, you accepted, and that makes a deal. Worth talking to an employment lawyer IMO,” Autodidact2 added.
Although albanska wrote that they won't be perusing any formal legal action until learning more, they are open to it.
"Company told recruiter that they will not be offering me any money whatsoever," they said. "Gotta love corporate America!"
