I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Klondike brand ice cream taco, Choco Taco has gone to junk food heaven. Just like Pepsi ONE and 3D Doritos before it, the Choco Taco is no more.
The delicious ice cream treat was first introduced in 1984. And just like that, at age 38 it is now no more.
The Choco Taco was invented in Philadelphia, PA and became a fan-favorite. The nostalgia factor is hitting some harder than others as the internet was left in shambles after the discontinuation announcement. Calls for a Klondike boycott rang out. Requests for the Choco Taco recipe were being retweeted. People cried out in anger and disappointment, longing for the days of yore.
Let's all take a break from our work day to pause, and celebrate the life of a taco taken too soon. RIP Choco Taco.
