Bill Gates, Elon Musk and More Targeted in Largest Twitter Hack Ever
nootens Published 07/15/2020
Earlier today, a group of people hacked into some of the biggest Twitter accounts—Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Joe Biden, Jeff Bezos, plus nearly a dozen more—and successfully scammed people out of more than $50,000.
The scam told people that if they sent $1,000 in Bitcoin to a wallet they would receive twice the amount back. It's the kind of scam most kids wouldn't fall for on the playground, but sure enough plenty of people did.
In addition to seeing the variety of people getting hacked (Wiz Khalifa? lol), the funniest part about this is that the hackers actually gave some money back to people, making their scam seem that much more convincing.
By the end of the day, a CEO offered $1 million to whoever could bring the hackers to justice. Whether that in itself is just another scam has yet to be seen.

The gist of the hack is that you send them money and "they promise" to send you even more money back.
3.
Right now people believe an administrator at Twitter was hacked, which allowed the scammers to access so many different accounts.

The Bitcoin wallet used in the hack is real and can be seen here. Looking at the total amount sent vs. received, there's about $57K in there right now.

Seriously though. Billionaires won't ask you for money. They'll take it before you even see it.

There's currently a $1M bounty for anyone who can catch the hackers. If you want to turn yourself in just LMK and we can share the reward when I turn you in. *Promise.*
