9 Celebrities Who F*cked Up Big Time In 2015

Celebrities that screwed up and fell from grace in the past year.

1.

The insane career trajectory of Hulk Hogan is something, brother. The former Real American started the year embroiled in a lawsuit against online gossip rag Gawker for posting a snippet of a sex tape where he banged another man's wife. Things went from bad to worse during the lead-up to the trial, where audio from the tape was leaked that featured the Hulkster using a bunch of racial slurs describing daughter Brooke Hogan and her love life. The WWE immediately fired him from his contract and scrubbed all mention of him from their website and programming -- a huge task, considering how important he was to the company over the years.

2.

It's a stretch to call Subway Jared a "celebrity," but the dude starred in TV commercials pretty much nonstop for fifteen years. After gaining media attention for losing a bunch of weight by switching to Subway from other fast food, the sandwich chain hired Fogle to be their national spokesman. That whole partnership came crumbling down this year when police raided the home of the director of Jared's nonprofit and found a bunch of child porn. Further investigation traced some of the kiddie smut back to Jared himself, and he was busted for soliciting sex from a minor and child pornography. He's now behind bars for 15 years and 8 months.

Everybody remembers Madonna kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera onstage in 2003, but that was over a decade. This year's victim was Drake, who was on stage at Coachella when during a surprise set Madonna showed up and kissed him on the lips. She sat the Canadian rapper down in a chair and planted a liplock on him, only for Drake to pull away with a totally disgusted look on his face.

When you sit in front of a news anchor's desk, you're expected to bring a certain level of truthfulness to your commentary. For NBC's Brian Williams, 2015 was the year that our trust in him basically evaporated. In January, Williams recounted a story on the air about the 2003 war in Iraq, claiming that he'd been aboard a helicopter that was forced down by a rocket-propelled grenade. The actual soldiers involved in the incident called Williams out on his fibbing, and he was suspended without pay for six months. This also turned the spotlight on his past reporting, which was found to contain similar exaggerations and full-on lies.

Having naked pictures of yourself hit the Internet isn't anything unusual for celebrities, and nary a week goes by without some famous person getting their naughty bits shown to the world. But in October, Justin Bieber made the whole thing super awkward. After paparazzi snapped pictures of a nude Bieber in Bora Bora hit the web, the reaction was pretty subdued. That is, until Justin's notorious douchebag father Jeremy weighed in on Twitter with "What do you feed that thing #prouddaddy

Observers have speculated on some sick stuff going on inside the Duggar family, the stars of TLC's "19 Kids And Counting," and 2015 was the year all of the skeletons came out of the closet. Turns out that eldest son Josh Duggar, who had been an active campaigner for "family-centered" values (i.e. no gay people) molested five kids and the family covered it up. That was bad enough, but then the Ashley Madison hack happened and it turns out Josh was also cheating on his wife using the service and watching a whole lot of Internet pornography. None of that really fit in with his public role as a crusader for good morals, and hopefully this means the end of the Duggars as reality show celebrities.

In 2014, wax Scientology dummy John Travolta drew derision for brutally mispronouncing "Idinia Menzel" at the Oscars. The Academy decided to put him on stage again this year to make things right, but the "Pulp Fiction" star instead pulled the entire evening into extreme creepiness. He started the night on the red carpet by skulking up behind Scarlett Johansson and attempting to lay a kiss on her from behind, which went about as well as you might think. Later, on stage, Travolta once again confronted his nemesis in Menzel. Instead of mangling her name, Travolta decided to weirdly caress her face while the duo was presenting. It looked like some serial killer action up there.

Devo bass player Jerry Casale might not be an A-lister like the others in this feature, but his 2015 wedding was one of the most demented events of the year. When Casale wed his girlfriend, Krista Napp, on September 11th of 2015, the duo made the unsettling decision to have a 9/11 theme for the event. Guests were given personalized boxcutters as party favors and the wedding cake was a model of the Twin Towers with the bride and groom's faces emblazoned on them. He claims that a "friend with bad taste" brought the atrocity pastry to the party, but that seems a little unlikely.

9.

One of the most beloved Black entertainment icons of all time, Cosby broke through barriers in the 1980s to make "The Cosby Show" one of the most successful programs on the airwaves. However, 2015 saw his legacy crash and burn in the wake of a staggering number of accusations -- over 50 at press time -- that he'd drugged and raped women for decades. Cosby's victims spoke out in an affecting New York Magazine story that left no doubt as to the extent of his misdeeds.
