40 Insanely WTF Comic Panels When Taken Out of Context

Comics are a cool and -- at least of the Marvel and DC variety -- uniquely American medium. An almost bottomless universe of stories to draw from, we've seen the stories of characters handed from artist to writer to inker to colorist over decades, evolving and growing into a byzantine network of storytelling that is compelling and, undeniably hard to navigate.

The best thing about that gargantuan mess of stories is the sheer amount of WTF to be derived from them. A lot of people have told a lot of stories, and so it comes as no surprise that there's some wacky sh*t to be found in some of our comics that you've never seen before.
