The expression "no good deed goes unpunished" can feel like hyperbole at times, and completely contradicts a concept like karma, if you believe in such things. However, it is a reminder to always consider all angles and details of a plan, even if it is made with good intentions. Things can always go wrong!

The opioid crisis. Initially it was highly restricted and doctors hated prescribing it because they KNEW how addictive it could be. Well here we are.
