Anti-memes are inside jokes that play with the concept of memes themselves. They are basically meme versions of anti-jokes. Many memes are already inspired by anti-humor, but anti-memes are extra random, extra obvious, extra meaningless, or extra niche memes. Often they directly explain a meme format, instead of using it as a way to convey something else, as most memes do.

Anti-Memes can be the typical image macros, photographs, or pictures that are typically captioned with anti-jokes and meta humor mocking a variety of internet memes, bearing many similarities to Wholesome Memes and Reverse Memes. They can be considered memes for people who don't like memes if you will.

They’re not wrong, but they suck for making the point. Does anyone else know a sarcastic asshole? I'm sure we all know someone who's trying to be funnier than they really are. Or perhaps they're not even trying at all because after all, that is the whole point of the anti-meme movement.
