30 Things That Aren't Cool When You're Over 30
Getting older isn't fun. But one thing that it does bring is the added wisdom of experience and perspective. These 30 things from AskReddit might have been absolutely awesome when we were in our twenties or younger, but now that we're over 30, they just aren't cool anymore.

“Trying to make anything that’s negative cool, like working yourself to death, over consumption of alcohol or drugs, or not getting enough sleep. It’s the lamest thing.”
3.
“Spending your money irresponsibly. Buy whatever the heck you want, just make sure it's in your budget.”
5.
“Apparently, eating salty things. I’m 34 and if I eat too many chips or fast food or basically anything with too high of a sodium content, I know I’m gonna be feeling it the next day.”
6.
“Gaming non-stop for 24 hours. I used to just sleep a couple of hours after each session and I'm good to go again. Now? Doing this is actually so awful.”
9.
“Hangovers. Am 35 and have just started to get the 3 day hangovers instead of 2 days. The joy.”
11.
“Binging sugary goodness. As an under thirty I could eat mass amounts of food and few fine. Coming up on 30 this year, and I can’t even eat a few mallowpuffs without a guts ache.”
12.
“Not exercising. I used to be skinny without exercising much. So cool. Now, if I don't exercise, I gain weight by just breathing.”
14.
“Buying the cheapest plane ticket. I remember sticking around LAX for 9 hours on some ungodly layover when I was 21. Never again.”
19.
“I value my sleep a lot more at 30 than I did at 29. It scares me. I’m not in my twenties anymore but life is good.”
21.
“Honestly, about 72 degrees. It used to be comfortable, even cool… but now I’m old and need a solid 67 or I can’t sleep.”
22.
“Thinking I’m special. The older I get, the more I realize I’m just a normal person that knows nothing more than anyone else.”
23.
“Anything loud. I am finding that any loud TV or music is turning into noise for me. I am surprised by how much my tolerance for ambient sound has drastically decreased.”
30.
“Driving 6 hours to go to a concert, getting pretty drunk, 5 of us sleeping in a small car for a couple of hours then driving home. That's a 3 day trip for me now.”
