Some people are just plain dumb. Ain't nothing to do about it neither. Just gotta let 'em continue on with their dumbness and hope it doesn't rub off on you.

Just remember that if you should encounter any of these fools in the wild, don't try to argue with them or correct them. Just keep your distance and point somewhere in the distance and yell "Look!" Then turn and run while they're distracted.

There is no cure or treatment for dumbness. It's like a worm inside the brain, feeding off serotonin and pumpkin spice flavoring.
