Drive-Thru shops! There’s a drive-thru for everything it seems over here, even for pharmacies as well. This is new to me because we don’t have them in my country.

You call the winner of the Super Bowl the “world champs” and the MLB is decided by a “World Series” even though both are an entirely domestic competition (other than Toronto Blue Jays).

You have to pay for fuel before putting it in your car, here in Australia you fill it up then pay.

Your healthcare. The more I read about it, the more it feels less like a joke and more like a crime. It should not be the way it is there

As a Canadian, it's interesting just how polarizing USA politics are to us. Trump vs Hillary/Biden was a way bigger topic than any of our own federal elections.

Your toilets are full of extra water. I didn’t understand American jokes about water splashing you on the balls until I saw one of them for the first time.

You're supposed to file and pay American taxes if you're a citizen... Even if you don't live there. People complain about Canadian taxes but at least if you leave you don't have to keep paying them - but you can stay a citizen.

It's kind of amazing how a person can become a cop with such little training over there. A real police officer with authority, badge, and a gun with so little training it's actually scary.

Your taxes not being added beforehand to the price of groceries? It's the most backwards thing ever

Tipping. It makes no sense to underpay workers in food and expect the customer to make up for it, it should be the business’s responsibility to have fair pay for workers.
