We sometimes forget that everything in our glittering supermarket of a world is crafted and constructed, sometimes with a specific purpose, sometimes with no purpose at all.
From the car you sit in, to the tunnel you drive through to the office you loathe with every fiber of your being, everything you interact with that isn't a plant, animal, or lump of organic matter was thought up, designed, produced, tested, and eventually completed.
And the thing about people is we love to leave our mark on things, be it lovers' carvings, graffiti, handprints on wet cement or anything else.

Locked bathroom doors in airplanes can be unlocked from the outside. The lock bolt is usually hidden under a sign that says ’lavatory’ or something similar.
