Yesterday (July 4th), a mysterious white substance was found in the West Wing by the Secret Service, while President Biden was vacationing in Camp David.
Later authorities confirmed that the substance found was indeed cocaine, according to some preliminary tests performed on the substance.
Following the discovery, the White House was briefly evacuated Sunday evening even though the President was away at Camp David.
Secret Service agents were doing routine rounds on Sunday when they found the white powder in an area accessible to tour groups. Officials were not authorized to discuss any ongoing investigation and gave the statement to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.
