20 Wild Baseball Moments That Went Down in History
Welcome to another year of Major League Baseball. After a brief hiatus, the sport is finally back in action.
But if we're being honest, most fans go to the game to experience the ambiance and the atmosphere of a ballpark. Sunshine, Hot dogs, nachos with cheese, an ice cold beer, maybe some cotton candy. Catching a foul ball or home run, is peak ballpark nirvana.
Conveniently enough though, it never seems to work out that way. Instead we get middle-aged drunk dudes yelling about which team is better. People spilling their beer trying to make a catch. And my personal favorite, fans streaking the field thinking that they won't get caught. It's a beautiful day for a baseball.
In that light, we've collected 20 of the craziest things to ever happen at the ballpark. None of them however, actually have anything to do with the game of baseball itself. Enjoy.
1.
How could we forget the trash city of Chicago blaming poor Steve Bartman for getting in the way of a foul ball.
3.
Disco demolition night (again in Chicago.) What started as a shock jock party, turned into a riot.
4.
Everytime the brewers hit a home run, their creepy mustached mascot takes a trip down the slide in the outfield.
5.
The now infamous models who flashed Gerrit Cole during the World Series. They are banned indefinitely.
6.
Again in Chicago, White Sox fans attacked Royals' first base coach Tom Gamboa in the middle of a game.
7.
The Philly Fanatic once had a stuffed version of Tommy Lasorda. Lasorda was not amused, so he took matters into his own hands.
8.
Marlins Man has been dubbed the 'Where's Waldo' of baseball. He's usually behind home plate in an orange visor and jersey.
11.
Of all people to catch a foul ball, Chris Rock snagged one sitting next to fellow actor Bobby Cannavale.
14.
Morganna 'The Kissing Bandit.' She would run onto the field and kiss any ball player she could get her lips on.
15.
This dude who NEARLY escaped capture while streaking, dawned the message 'Super Heroes Never Die.'
16.
This dude shooting his shot. Turns out he kept the foul ball, and gave this girl a decoy. Legendary.
18.
There is a pool in Arizona's stadium. So of course if you're a Dodgers' fan, you're going to be pushed in.
