20 Etiquette Tips from Silent Movie Title Cards

Back before a dancing bucket of popcorn told you to buy a soda or Deadpool told you to put your phone on silent, movie theaters used these title cards to explain proper viewing habits to moviegoers. 

Some of them are timeless (stay in your seats, don’t talk during the movie) while some are more of a relic of their time: ladies used to wear giant elaborate hats that would make it hard to see the screen.

Modern-day moviegoers could definitely use a lesson in manners, so maybe it’s time to bring these back.
