Female Praying Mantises do not decapitate their male breeding partners. Only a single sub-species of mantis has been observed to perform this behavior.

The Daddy Longlegs is not the most poisonous spider in the world. As the misinformation goes they have an extremely poisonous venom in their mandibles, but they are too small to puncture the skin. It isn’t true. The most venomous types of daddies can cause a small rash to a human, but nothing near a threat to life.

Mother birds will abandon baby birds if the nest is disturbed. Birds don’t have very strong noses, they don’t smell very much and they especially won’t smell a human who has touched their nest.
