I've heard for a long time that "premium" gas will give you higher gas mileage, more performance, a cleaner engine, etc. This is not true. Certain engines require higher or lower octane fuels depending on their compression ratio, and to prevent engine knocking. Yes, a high octane fuel can be used in a high compression engine for more power. But it does nothing beneficial for your Honda Civic (or whatever). u/BellyScratchFTW

Turn on your headlights in fog, rain, or snow to make it easier for other drivers to see you. Turning them on is not to help you see better. And, no, high beams will not make it better anyone. Shining high beams directly into a fog causes glare and the light to be reflected back at you. u/YannisALT
