34-year-old Gary Deming of Cranston was arrested on robbery charges. Authorities say he pretended he had a gun when he demanded money from a convenience store and dry cleaner April 21, 2014. The convenience store manager chased him off with a baseball bat.

Hannah Sabata, 19, is taken into custody by York and Polk County Sheriff's Office members. She appears, in the same clothes, on a YouTube video called “Chick Bank Robber,” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAZoo5KRMZ4 bragging about robbing the Waco, Neb., bank and stealing a car.

Maxi Sopo not only used his Facebook status to say what a good time he was having, but also made the mistake of adding a former justice department official to his list of friends. on June 21 he wrote: "LIFE IS VERY SIMPLE REALLY!!!! BUT SOME OF US HUMANS MAKE A MESS OF IT ... REMEMBER AM JUST HERE TO HAVE FUN PARTEEEEEEE."

These shoplifters made off with a load of DVDs and video games from a Wisconsin Target store. According to police reports, one of the two would-be criminal masterminds somehow managed to dial 911 on the cell phone in his pocket shortly after their big Target score. Unaware of the 911 operator listening in on their conversation, they spent an hour boasting about how easy it was, making fun of other criminals for getting caught.

Applebee’s waitress Brianna Priddy lost her wallet, containing her ID on her night off. Two weeks later at work she asked a patron for her ID, and the woman handed back HER lost ID. Priddy didn’t panic. "I handed it back to her and said, 'Sure, I'll be right back with your margarita,'" Priddy called the police, and tried to act normal while waiting for them to arrive. When police arrived, the woman, whose name has not been released, was arrested on suspicion of theft, identity theft and criminal impersonation. Police also found narcotics in her possession. "Dumb criminal," Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis told Denver's 9NEWS. "That's the first thing that comes to mind."

TWO would-be jewel thieves Peter Welsh, 32, and Dwayne Doolan, 31, were arrested after they found fried chicken instead of fine jewellery when they burrowed through a wall into the wrong store at Beaudesert, southwest of Brisbane Australia.
