10 Million Dollar MLK Jr. Sculpture Gets the Meme Treatment

A new sculpture honoring Martin Luther King Jr. was unveiled over the weekend in Boston to mixed reviews.
The statue made entirely of bronze, was created by artist Hank Willis Thomas and is supposed to represent the embrace shared by Coretta Scott King and her husband after he won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
Unfortunately that might just be overlooked. It doesn't take much imagination to fill in the gaps so to speak. The sculpture quickly became the butt of the internet's jokes.
