As authorities and internet mycophiles continue investigating whether Erin Patterson intended to kill three of her former in-laws after serving them poisonous death cap mushrooms during a recent luncheon, one thing is certain — the alleged “death wall” in her previous home probably won't help her case.

Featuring tombstones, bizarre scrawlings as well as several ominous phrases including “You don’t long to live 1 hour exactly,” “You are dead from my sword” and most damningly of all, “Grandma R.I.P.,” the wall was so dark it freaked out one tradesman who worked on the property.

“We started calling it the death wall,” the contractor told news.com.au of the disturbing find, one he said, “didn’t look right to me as a parent.”

“I’ve looked at it and gone, holy ****, what the heck’s going on here?” he continued. “I went, this is actually really scary for kids to do this inside the kitchen-dining room. I didn’t think it was right, it looked scary.”

Though the tradesman may have been freaked out by the sight, Redditors on r/australia weren’t nearly as scared.

“Death wall.. it’s some silly scribbles,” wrote u/partyhatjjj.

“Yeah it’s weird but it’s not a crime to be a weirdo. Especially a weirdo kid,” commented u/justvisiting112

But regardless of how much you interpret these drawings as proof of Patterson’s alleged guilt, u/RaisedByWolves9 said it best: “Idgaf what it says. Who lets their kids draw on walls like that!?”
