Parkour is a sport like any other. Just kidding — it’s actually a roundabout way to turn your body to mush and your brain into Swiss cheese. Hey, that’s also football, so maybe it is a true sport after all!
But whereas most sports will try to have its players, I don’t know, score points, parkour instead opts for the mere achievement of having done something insane. Congrats, kid, you jumped off a building without dying. Wish we could say the same for your friend!
Naturally, given that this sport is absolutely reckless and stupid, there are a whole host of things that can go wrong when you do it. If you need proof, just watch this:

In the video above, a man jumps off the roof of a building with the goal of… doing… something. I don’t know; to me, it looks like he’s just bailed off his board in Skate 2, if anyone remembers that game.
I keep watching the replay and I just don’t even know what the plan was for that jump at all https://t.co/Y4JjMPKlKk

Regardless, things go about as well as you’d expect. The dude slams his head into the ground, leading to an audible “What are you doing?” from a nearby observer. Trust me — he doesn’t know what he’s doing either.
By the end of the video, the man says he’s okay, though I’d imagine he lost quite a few brain cells in the process of doing this. Let that be a lesson: If someone asks you to jump off a building, do not do it.
