Elon Musk is obsessed with his X — and we’re not just talking about Grimes. Despite attempting to brand PayPal’s predecessor as x.com, naming SpaceX, well, SpaceX and bestowing one of his sons with the password-ass moniker of X Æ A-12, the Twitter overlord is far from done with the alphabet’s 24th letter.
Over the weekend. Musk unveiled the Twitter rebrand that approximately no one asked for — sharing that the cursed bird app would begin slowly transforming into X. “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow,” Musk tweeted on Sunday evening.
Still reeling from the short-lived rate-limit restrictions, Twitter users were naturally not too happy about the platform undergoing yet another inexplicable change.
“Bro we just wanted an edit button how did we get here,” joked @SaeedDiCaprio.

Though we may never know what, exactly, prompted this latest terrible decision, there are a whole lot of memes to help you cope with Twitt— sorry, X’s new branding.
X is a terrible name. I would have gone with something like David. And all tweets would be called Daves.
